Harassment

Harassment and stalking are closely related offences in which a person is accused of engaging in a course of conduct that amounts to harassment or stalking. Harassment is not clearly defined but will generally include any conduct that puts the other person in fear, alarm or distress.

Stalking is very similar but includes acts such as following a person, loitering, and watching or spying on a person even if the person being stalked is unaware of what is happening

Allegations of this nature can be very damaging to a person’s reputation and can even be made as part of a campaign of harassment against the person being accused! That’s why we approach every case with an open mind. We will listen to what you tell us about what is going on so we can understand the situation you found yourself in. Considering all the facts is very important since they may reveal a defence, for example, if you were acting reasonably in the circumstances, e.g. because the other person was withholding money or property from you that you were attempting to recover.

Whatever the allegation, we can help you.

We will begin by listening to your account of what happened, then move to analyse the prosecution version of events looking for errors, inconsistencies, and other points that will undermine the complainant’s account and support yours.

If you need help then get in touch with us today. You can call on 020 8242 4496 or send us a message via our contact page and we’ll call you back ASAP.
